"summary": "Kirk Cousins has made it abundantly clear that he does not want to be out of the starting lineup with the Las Vegas Raiders, despite mounting pressure on head coach Klint Kubiak to consider rookie Fernando Mendoza as a potential backup. The veteran quarterback's comments come amid a string of losses, with the Raiders currently sitting at a 3-4 record. While Cousins has thrown for 16 touchdowns this season, his lack of mobility has raised doubts about his ability to lead the offence in the long term. Despite the debate surrounding his future, Cousins has praised Mendoza's progress and emphasized the importance of winning over his own position. The decision on Mendoza's role rests with Kubiak, who must weigh the veteran's production against the team's need for consistency.",
