"account": "The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, set to take place on October 26, will honor the world's best soccer players across various categories. Within the United States, six nominees have been selected, including Rose Lavelle from Gotham FC, Lily Yohannes of OL Lyonnes, Ann-Katrin Berger of Gotham FC, Scarlett Camberos of Club America, Lorena of KC Current, and Temwa Chawinga of KC Current.\n\nLavelle, a midfielder, was named the 2025 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year after claiming the NWSL Championship and MVP titles. Her ability to perform under high-pressure situations, such as scoring the championship-winning goal in the 80th minute, is considered exceptional. Yohannes, at 19 years old, has already made her mark with Lyonnes, reaching the UEFA Champions League final, winning the French domestic treble, and receiving the Women's Champions League Revelation of the Season award. Berger, the Gotham FC goalkeeper, boasts a remarkable shot-stopping record and has been instrumental in securing clean sheets and silverware. Camberos, despite not being drafted by an NWSL club, has made history by being nominated for the Ballon d'Or Feminin after leading Club América to a treble and scoring 44 goal contributions. Lorena, the Kansas City Current goalkeeper, set numerous records with 14 clean sheets and 690 consecutive shutout minutes while guiding Kansas City to a historic season. Lastly, Chawinga, a Malawian who now plays in the NWSL, has conquered the game with her outstanding performances.",
