"account": "The iFixit teardown of Apple's iPhone Duo reveals the device has earned the highest repair score yet for a foldable, with a rating of 5 out of 10. Despite this positive assessment, the teardown highlighted some potential weaknesses in the design. The outer screen and battery cell units were relatively easy to remove, but dust managed to infiltrate the hinge mechanism, causing it to crunch. Despite Apple's IP68 rating for dust and water protection, iFixit warns that this foldable should not be taken for granted. The iFixit team suggests that the cracked screen problem may be due to the main display crease exerting pressure on the hinge's central support bar, though further investigation is required. The hinge, constructed from gears, springs, and metal joints, proved to be the most challenging component to repair, requiring significant effort, time, and money. While the iFixit team acknowledges that the iPhone Duo repair is a step forward, they caution users to handle the screen with care and avoid carrying sand in their pockets.",
