"account": "Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has proposed the creation of a national media centre to honor the late media entrepreneur, Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi. The center would focus on research regarding the role of journalism in economic growth and national development. Uzodimma, who delivered the third Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi Annual Diamond Lecture in Abuja, pledged to lead the campaign for the center's establishment. The lecture, organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and DAAR Communications Plc, highlighted the importance of media in promoting democracy and development. Uzodimma emphasized that the media must continue to investigate public expenditure, expose corruption, and provide platforms for citizens to question government policies. He warned that media freedom alone was not enough to ensure responsible journalism, as ownership interests, financial pressures, and political affiliations could undermine editorial independence.",
