"account": "Voters in British Columbia gave Lorne Doerkson's Conservative Party a two-thirds majority government on Saturday, prompting party members to consider constitutional changes to allow an interim leader to become permanent premier. The party's constitution currently prohibits an interim leader from seeking leadership in a subsequent ballot, necessitating a two-thirds vote from members to make the change. Following their victory, Conservatives praised Doerkson for uniting the party after a tumultuous period under the leadership of Kerry-Lynne Findlay, who resigned days before the election. Doerkson's supporters, including former Premier Gordon Campbell, praised him for uniting the party and earning the trust of British Columbians. However, the party's board has not yet outlined how they will ensure Doerkson remains leader, leaving the path forward unclear.",
