"summary": "The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) President, Mike Shingange, has clarified that there is no contradiction in the federation supporting both the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the African National Congress (ANC) in the upcoming local government election. Speaking at the SACP Red October Siyanqoba Rally in Mpumalanga, Shingange reaffirmed Cosatu’s stance that organised workers will #VoteSACP. He emphasized that the federation still believes in the alliance and that supporting both parties does not perpetuate divisions, as choosing one would have left the other feeling rejected. SACP’s Solly Mapaila added that there is an agenda against the SACP due to it not being funded by capitalists.",
