"account": "Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the Trump administration's lawsuit to block Alaska's Senate certification, stating it was necessary to avoid voter confusion in the closely watched midterm race. President Trump, who reportedly ordered the legal challenge, denied attempting to overturn state election results. The lawsuit aims to clarify that the Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan should be identified as the sitting senator, as many voters may not recognize the term \"incumbent.\" Blanche emphasized that the legal action does not seek to prevent certification, but rather to preserve evidence of potential voter confusion at the polls, aligning with federal and Alaskan laws.",
"summary": "Blanche told CNN's \"State of the Union\" that President Donald Trump, who said Friday that he was \"the one that said do it,\" is not trying to overturn state election results \"in any way, shape or form\" on the cusp of the Nov. 3 election.",
