"summary": "Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested 34-year-old South African woman Qhina Beauty at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on October 7, 2026. According to Punch and Daily Post Nigeria, Beauty was at the departure hall attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to South Africa via Doha when she was intercepted. A search of her two traveling bags uncovered 30 blocks of cocaine weighing 36.65kg, which were wrapped in cello tape, packed into seven parcels, and laced with dried pepper.\n\nDuring interrogation, Beauty reportedly told operatives she arrived in Nigeria on September 30 specifically to collect the consignment. Daily Post Nigeria and Punch report that she claimed she was recruited by another South African woman who promised her R20,000 for successful delivery. She also identified two other alleged syndicate members, one located in the United States and another based in Lagos.\n\nIn a separate incident at the same airport, the NDLEA arrested 62-year-old Nigerian-American Anetor Gloria Ubong with 9.45kg of high-grade cannabis, known as loud, imported from the United States, according to Daily Post Nigeria.",
