"summary": "The Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrested Samuel Net following a suspected homicide at a hotel in the Utako District of the FCT. According to a statement from command spokesperson Josephine Adeh via Punch Nigeria, police responded to a distress report regarding suspicious noise in a hotel room early Tuesday, October 20, 2026.\n\nUpon arrival, officers found Net, a tiler hired by the hotel, with marks of violence on his body. A hotel staff member, Joseph Terdoo, was also found unconscious on the floor. Investigations reported by Punch Nigeria indicated that a disagreement between Net and Terdoo led to Terdoo's collapse and death.\n\nSeparately, the Jerusalem Post reports that Israeli police have arrested four women involved in a tax-refund scam affecting approximately 500 victims. Three of the suspects were employees at a legitimate tax-refund firm who allegedly directed client fees into private accounts and cashed out their pensions.",
