"summary": "The family of Hina Javed, a 45-year-old digital media executive found dead with signs of torture at her Rawalpindi residence in August, has written an open letter to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. According to Dawn - Pakistan, the family is requesting the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the murder, citing a mistrust of the police investigation. They have previously contacted the National Commission on Human Rights to allege that the probe has been compromised.\n\nThe family rejected the findings of a police committee and raised concerns regarding forensic evidence and deleted messages from Javed’s mobile phone, according to the Daily Times. In their letter, the relatives claimed the investigation continues to shift blame away from Javed's husband. While the husband and a domestic worker were arrested and the father-in-law was questioned, the family maintains their accusations against the husband.\n\nResponding to inquiries on X, Maryam Nawaz stated she is keeping a close watch on the case. Dawn - Pakistan reports that the Chief Minister noted that DNA and polygraph test results suggest the murder and rape were committed by the servant, though the investigation remains ongoing.",
