"account": "The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to conduct its third National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Monday, October 26, at the JD Event Centre in Abuja, as part of preparations for the 2027 general election. The meeting will see the presentation of the party's financial accounts, aimed at demonstrating its commitment to transparency and accountability, in contrast to other political parties. According to the party, 80% of its candidates could not afford the fees for expression-of-interest forms due to widespread poverty, hunger, and deprivation under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government. To address this issue, the NDC provided the forms to the affected candidates free of charge. The NEC meeting will also mark the unveiling of the party's National Campaign Council, which will coordinate campaign activities across all levels of government, including presidential, National Assembly, governorship, and state Houses of Assembly campaigns.",
