"account": "Meghan Markle severed ties with her father, Thomas Markle, in 2025 after sending him a letter alleging he had sexually abused young girls, according to BBC sources. The letter, which was sent to Markle while he was in a Philippine hospital recovering from a leg amputation, informed him he would never see his grandchildren again - Archie and Lillibet. The letters's contents also revealed Meghan had informed authorities of the abuse claims against her father. Philippine officials have confirmed they are investigating the allegations, with the country's anti-human trafficking and child sexual exploitation task force conducting a digital forensic examination of Markle's computer seized by national police. Despite the serious allegations, Thomas Markle has maintained his innocence, acknowledging he paid for sex in the Philippines but denying any involvement with underage girls or possessing child abuse images. He also claims he discovered incriminating material during a recent visit to his former home in the Philippines, which he reported to the FBI in July.",
