"summary": "The Janata Dal (United) has expelled Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh and his wife, Neelam Devi, for six years due to alleged anti-party activities. Singh campaigned for Jan Suraaj Party candidate Anuj Singh against the JD(U)'s nominee in the recent Bihar Legislative Council elections, disregarding party directives and using insulting language against senior leaders. The party has also sought Singh's disqualification from the Assembly under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution. Neelam Devi's primary membership was cancelled over her alleged involvement in anti-party activities. This action follows weeks of friction between Singh and the JD(U) leadership over the Patna Graduates’ constituency election to the Legislative Council, where Singh openly backed Anuj Singh over the party's nominee, Neeraj Kumar.",
