"account": "South Point's freshman sensation, Chelsea Xia, claimed the NCHSAA 5A state girls tennis title on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Holly Springs with a dominant straight sets victory over East Lincoln's Sidney Dann (6-3, 7-5). This marks South Point's first individual title in program history and the second all-time among Gaston County standouts, following Highland Tech's Madison Darnell in 2023.\n\nXia showcased her unyielding dominance throughout the tournament, winning all her matches without dropping a single set. She defeated West Carteret's Elizabeth Parker (6-3, 6-3) and Seaforth's Mackenzie Wray (6-1, 6-1) en route to her title win. Additionally, Xia earned a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Seaforth's Mackenzie Wray in the state semifinal round.\n\nOther area tennis players participated in the state competition this weekend, with varying results. In Class 5A, Sidney Dann from East Lincoln secured the runner-up position, while Arianna Serrao and Aimee Leveaud achieved a state semifinal appearance in doubles. In Class 4A, Madelyn Day and Julia Cornwell from Burns also reached the semifinals in doubles.",
