"account": "Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and Virginia Tech counterpart James Franklin will face off for the first time in the upcoming Clemson vs Virginia Tech game on October 24th. The two coaches have had an interesting relationship, as evidenced by their comments about each other in recent press conferences.\n\nFranklin, who has been the head coach at Virginia Tech since 2024, praised Swinney's coaching career and the impact he has had at Clemson. He noted that the two coaches first became acquainted during their time as assistant coaches at Maryland in the 2000s. Franklin also mentioned that Swinney and he started getting invited to Nike-sponsored coaching trips around the same time, which Swinney attributed to their successful coaching records and multiple bowl game wins.\n\nSwinney, on the other hand, acknowledged Franklin's respect for his career and the accomplishments he has achieved at Clemson and within the ACC. He also revealed that the two coaches often get together during Nike-sponsored coaching trips during the offseason, a relationship that began when both were seen as top-tier college football coaches. Swinney highlighted Franklin's character and professionalism, describing him as \"very good coach\" and \"good people.\"",
