"account": "Manchester United and Everton are reportedly engaged in discussions regarding a potential January transfer for forward Marcus Rashford, according to recent reports. The 28-year-old United star was made available for sale by the club during the previous summer transfer window following a successful 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona. During his time in Spain, Rashford netted 14 goals and provided 14 assists, contributing significantly to his loan club's La Liga triumph. However, Barcelona ultimately decided against offering him a permanent contract, instead proposing another loan deal with United, which the club refused.\n\nThe Manchester United star has faced a dip in form since his return to Old Trafford, with no goals scored this season and missing several matches due to a hip injury. According to FootballTransfers, it is possible that Rashford could be leaving Manchester United as early as January. The outlet claims that sources have told them that the England international's time at United is expected to come to an end in 2027. While it is still early days for the talks, Everton has reportedly held preliminary discussions about a possible deal.\n\nThe specifics of the transfer remain uncertain, with both clubs yet to reach a definitive agreement. Financial considerations, such as Rashford's wage demands and willingness to accept a pay cut, are likely to play a significant role in the decision-making process. The reliability of this report stands at a 5/10, emphasizing the need for confirmation from a more credible source before drawing any final conclusions.",
