"account": "The North East Development Commission (NEDC) recently distributed starter packs to 20 beneficiaries in Bauchi State who have been trained in creating energy-efficient stoves and producing briquettes. This initiative aims to boost youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability in the North-east region. The handover ceremony took place on Thursday, with NEDC Bauchi State Coordinator, Alhaji Aliyu Isyaku, emphasizing the potential for beneficiaries to establish businesses, generate sustainable income, and create employment opportunities. NEDC officials stressed the importance of using the starter packs effectively and warned against selling or abandoning the equipment. The intervention aligns with NEDC's mandate to promote sustainable development and is intended to reduce reliance on firewood, combat deforestation, and minimize greenhouse gas emissions. Beneficiaries shared their appreciation for the opportunity to improve their economic circumstances and contribute to environmental protection and job creation in Bauchi State.",
