"account": "Orléans - Jordan Bardella, daughter of French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, has been unanimously re-elected as Leader of the far-right Rally'National (RN). The party announced the decision on the social media platform X during their party congress in Orléans, a town south of Paris. The congress was attended by protests. According to French media, Bardella received nearly 99% of the votes, with voter turnout reaching nearly 68%. The result was no surprise as Bardella was the sole candidate for the position, having held it since 2022. He is considered Le Pen's political heir, with polls suggesting she would be the frontrunner in the first round of the presidential elections next spring. If Le Pen's candidacy is disrupted by her conviction for misappropriation of EU funds, Bardella stands ready to take over as the second in command. After the RN leadership election, it is scheduled that Le Pen will hold her first major campaign event on Sunday. Protests against the party event were held in Orléans on Saturday afternoon, with approximately 13,000 people participating, according to the prefecture. The demonstration proceeded peacefully, following an adjusted route as approved by local authorities. A curfew for children and youth was imposed to prevent disturbances and limit the risk of riots, as announced by the city mayor.",
