"account": "Pakistan has dismissed former US diplomat Zalmay Khalilzad's claim that the country was arming former Afghans to fight the Taliban and terrorist groups. The Ministry of Information stated that Khalilzad's allegations are \"baseless and misleading\", attributing them to his personal agenda to support the terrorist regime in Afghanistan. The ministry emphasized that Pakistan's actions against terrorist organizations operating from within Afghanistan are legitimate counterterrorism efforts, not evidence of arming the Taliban. They rejected any suggestion that Pakistan was sponsoring armed groups inside Afghanistan. The ministry also rejected claims that Pakistan was conflating its counterterrorism operations with allegations of recruiting Afghan nationals or supporting armed groups. They stressed that Pakistan remains committed to combating terrorism and protecting regional peace and security.",
