"account": "From January to August of this year, there were 251 reported cases of sexual offences involving students from higher education institutions, according to deputy women, family and community development minister Lim Hui Ying. The deputy minister emphasized that violence against women and sexual harassment are serious issues that extend beyond physical harm, encompassing threats, insults, emotional manipulation, and financial control.\n\nIn light of these statistics obtained from the police, Lim stressed that safety within educational settings demands serious attention and continuous action. She urged everyone to recognize the available channels for seeking help and advocacy, hoping that the exposure through the Skuad Waja Siswa initiative can educate students about their rights and the steps to take in case of sexual harassment.\n\nThe Skuad Waja Siswa program, launched by the ministry, aims to tackle violence against women by roping in volunteers at universities. As of September, the initiative has garnered a staggering 340,667 volunteers nationwide, out of which 264,461 are women.",
