"account": "In the first pitch of the 2025 World Series, Milwaukee Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski set a new record for the fastest pitch, throwing a 103.5 mph fastball to Tampa Bay Rays' Yandy Díaz. This surpasses the previous mark of 103.2 mph set by Aroldis Chapman of the Chicago Cubs in 2016. Misiorowski, a 24-year-old right-hander, has consistently dazzled fans with his blistering heat throughout the season, throwing 1,115 pitches at or above 100 mph, shattering the previous high of 673 by Jordan Hicks in 2018. His fastest pitch of the year was clocked at 105.5 mph. Misiorowski's remarkable performance in the Division Series and League Championship Series also included several pitches exceeding 100 mph, with the highest being 104.8 mph.",
