"account": "The launch of Apple's new iPhone Duo received acclaim for the most part, yet not all feedback was positive. Critics have pointed out concerns about the FaceTime camera's image quality, the lack of optimization for certain apps, and the visibility of a crease at the fold along the inner display. However, within hours of the iPhone Duo's release, reports emerged of a serious problem that far outweighs these earlier issues. Reddit users are reporting that the inner display is shattering from top to bottom at the hinge, where the device folds. This issue is consistent for those affected, with photos circulating on social media showing a large crack along the inner display's hinge. The crack also causes a white line on the right side of the inner display. This defect appears to be widespread, as users from different regions, including the US, Australia, and China, have all reported similar issues. Apple's customer service offered to replace the faulty device, but the process involved a deposit for the full cost of the phone, with no guaranteed timeline for the replacement. Some users opted to return to the Apple Store, where they received an immediate replacement. It is possible that Apple may be collecting defective units to investigate the cause of the problem. While it is expected that first-generation devices will have some issues, a crack right down the center of the inner display is a significant problem. Apple will likely address the issue for affected customers, but this is a major inconvenience for those unfortunate enough to have received a cracked iPhone Duo on launch day.",
