"account": "Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has revealed she was made aware of \"disturbing allegations\" against her estranged father, Thomas Markle, in the year 2018. According to a statement, a letter containing these allegations was sent to the Metropolitan Police that year and subsequently shared with Meghan. The allegations came to light after images of child sexual abuse were allegedly found at Thomas Markle's former residence in the Philippines. Despite the allegations, Thomas Markle, who is 82 and resides in the United States, denies possessing any such images. In response to the allegations, Meghan expressed deep distress and stated that her thoughts were with any children who might have been harmed. She explained that when she received the letter, she was assured the allegations were being investigated. Meghan also revealed that she chose to keep her distance from her father to protect their children, believing that the authorities were doing the same for other families. The allegations are described as \"more sickening than one could ever imagine,\" with Meghan hoping for justice and the priority to remain the safety and protection of innocent children.",
