"account": "England midfielder Jude Bellingham is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Real Madrid that could keep him at the club until 2031, according to Spanish media reports. At 23 years old, Bellingham has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal with the Spanish giants, which he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 for a transfer fee of €103 million. Throughout his time at Real Madrid, Bellingham has established himself as a key player, scoring 49 goals in 152 appearances and contributing with 55 assists. While his goal-scoring numbers have declined slightly in recent seasons due to injury setbacks, his overall impact on the team remains significant. His performances in the 2026-27 season have demonstrated his continued importance to Real Madrid, as he has already made an impact with three goals and three assists in just nine games under new manager Jose Mourinho. An improved contract would not only reflect Bellingham's value to the squad but also demonstrate Real Madrid's commitment to retaining one of Europe's most highly-rated midfielders for the long term.",
