"account": "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, expressed deep distress over allegations that her father, Thomas Markle, is under investigation by authorities in the Philippines for possessing child abuse materials. The reports, initially disclosed by the British tabloid The Sun, allege that Thomas Markle Jr. found the materials in storage boxes at his father's home in the Philippines after his father was in the United States for medical treatment. Thomas Markle Jr. reported the discovery to the FBI and other authorities in July. The allegations were subsequently confirmed by the Philippine Department of Justice, which is investigating the matter through its anti-trafficking task force. Meghan stated that she had been aware of these allegations since 2018 and had informed UK authorities. She expressed her hope that justice would be served and that the safety of innocent children remains the priority.",
