"account": "The FX thriller \"American Horror Story: 13\" has delivered a rollercoaster of a season, with new episodes revealing shocking twists and turning points. One actor who has been at the center of the drama is Joey Pollari, who plays the complex character of Ben DeSoto. Pollari recently opened up about his character's surprising romance and the season's intense cliffhanger.\n\nBen, introduced as an anxious hospice caretaker who survived a plane crash and has a deep-seated fear of the number 13, is actually the son of Satan. This revelation came after episode 10, and Pollari said he was taken aback by the truth behind his character. He described the scripts as \"a great surprise\" and thought it made perfect sense that an everyday anxious character could be invited to a darker table.\n\nThroughout the season, Ben has grappled with his father's sinister plans, but ultimately decided to help the witches put his father's schemes on hold. He reunited them with some of their friends from hell, including Queenie and Myrtle Snow, sparking a powerful connection between Ben and Frances Conroy's character. Pollari expressed his admiration for Conroy, describing her work as \"like watching a great dancer.\"\n\nAs the season progressed, Ben's life took a romantic turn when he met witch Madison Montgomery, portrayed by Emma Roberts. Their relationship blossomed, with the couple sharing magical dinners in Europe and exchanging promises of undying love. Pollari praised Roberts' talent, calling her \"a very close friend\" and \"adorable.\"\n\nHowever, the season took a dark turn when Ben was knocked out by Satan, and Cordelia and Queenie met their untimely demise at the hands of Ben's supporters. With only one episode left, Pollari issued a warning to fans, urging them to \"hold on tight to whatever ground is beneath you\" as the season reaches its climax. \"American Horror Story: 13\" airs Thursdays on FX and streams the following day on Hulu.",
