"summary": "Apple has released its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, with official availability beginning October 23, 2026. According to Nippon.com News, the device launched in Japan on Friday with prices starting at 364,800 yen. The phone features a 7.6-inch screen, which is 1.5 times larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and measures approximately the size of a passport when folded. Malay Mail reports the device features a single display that folds down the center via a hinge and includes a replaceable matte nano-texture finish designed to minimize the appearance of the crease.\n\nThe iPhone Duo is becoming available worldwide in many countries, including Malaysia, according to Malay Mail. In the United States, TechRadar reports that extraordinary pre-order demand has led to shipping timeframes slipping to January 2027 for some orders. However, Apple’s SVP of Marketing, Greg Joswiak, stated that the device will be available in stores.",
