"account": "UK singer-songwriter Raye secured the prestigious Mercury Prize for her album \"This Music May Contain Hope\" on Thursday. The award, presented in Newcastle, England, surpassed the achievements of fellow singer-songwriter Olivia Dean and 10 other acts, including Beatles icon Paul McCartney. Raye, 28, who blends pop, jazz, dance, R&B, and soul, expressed her gratitude during her acceptance speech, emphasizing the importance of hope and how music serves as a form of medicine. The judges commended the scale, structure, ambition, and charm of her second studio album. The Mercury Prize, established in 1992, recognizes the best British or Irish album of the past 12 months and has a history of honoring artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, and Primal Scream.",
