"account": "Munich: Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane is eagerly anticipating a \"special night\" at Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony in his hometown of London. The 33-year-old England captain leads a highly competitive field, featuring Spanish World Cup winners Lamine Yamal and Rodri, France captain Kylian Mbappe, and teammate Michael Olise. Kane, who has scored 73 goals for club and country, is the second most prolific performer in Ballon d'Or history after Lionel Messi's 82-goal season in 2010-11.\n\nKane's impressive performances for both club and country have been on display once again, as he again proved his complete game during Bayern's recent victory over Arsenal. The former Spurs player dropped back to take goal kicks and ignited Bayern's attack, ultimately setting up Alphonso Davies' equalizer. In the second half, Kane won and converted a penalty, securing a crucial lead before England teammate Declan Rice scored in the late stages to share in the triumph.\n\nWhile Kane is currently the bookmakers' favorite for the award, the outcome remains uncertain in what has been one of the most competitive fields in recent memory. The criteria for the Ballon d'Or include individual performances and character, team performances and class, and fair play. Kane has clearly satisfied the latter criteria with his impressive numbers for Bayern, who finished second in the Bundesliga and reached the Champions League semi-finals.\n\nBayern coach Vincent Kompany praised Kane's team-focused efforts, highlighting how Kane's success with the team has contributed to his individual accolades. Former England midfielder Steven Gerrard has also called Kane \"arguably the best England player there's been,\" while Michael Owen noted Kane as the last Ballon d'Or winner for England. The only other Bayern player to win the award was Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.",
