"account": "The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have warned of potential nationwide industrial action if the Federal Government fails to address workers' demands by their scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 27. The unions met with the government on Thursday, but according to their joint statement, no concrete commitments were secured, and the outstanding issues remain unresolved. The unions have directed their affiliates and state councils to prepare for possible action if meaningful progress is not made. They criticized the government delegation for arriving without the authority to negotiate substantively on the issues, including a reduction in petrol prices, renegotiation of the national minimum wage, and tax relief measures. The unions remain committed to dialogue and will report back to their members on Tuesday. If no progress is achieved, they will decide on the next course of action.",
