"account": "New York residents have a unique opportunity this weekend to see the documentary \"Once Upon A Time In Harlem\" for free. Neon has teamed up with Mayor Zohran Mamdani to present four screenings of the documentary, two on Saturday and two on Sunday, celebrating the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance. Mayor Mamdani hasn't confirmed if he'll attend, but he's excited about the chance for New Yorkers to experience this film.\n\nThe documentary features footage captured by William Greaves in the 1970s and reassembled by his son David. It captures a Harlem party that brings together influential figures from the 1920s and 1930s. \"Once Upon A Time In Harlem brings the personalities, ideas, and debates behind the Harlem Renaissance to life for a new generation of New Yorkers,\" Mamdani said. The city owes a debt of gratitude to the artists of the Harlem Renaissance, whose impact is still felt in many aspects of New York today.\n\nScreenings will take place on October 24, with one at 1:00 PM and another at 4:45 PM at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem, and at 1:00 PM and 3:45 PM at Howard Gilman Theater Film at Lincoln Center. An RSVP is required for each screening, and guests should arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime. Screenings are expected to fill up, so reservations are strongly advised.
