"account": "Nintendo Switch 2 jailbreak discovery could open the door to a world of mods\n\nA developer has unveiled a software-only Nintendo Switch 2 jailbreak that functions on the most recent firmware. The exploit exploits vulnerabilities linked to SmileBASIC 4 and has already been showcased with Mario Kart World mods. However, the jailbreak is not permanent and does not yet provide complete control over the console. Naturally, Nintendo has not made it easy for enthusiasts seeking to tinker with the Switch 2 beyond its intended boundaries. Nevertheless, one developer has achieved a significant milestone, releasing a software-only Switch 2 jailbreak that works even on the console's latest firmware.\n\nSecurity researcher Sammy Hajhamid, known as pepsipu online, announced the achievement on X and elaborated on how it operates in a comprehensive blog post. The exploit, labeled ns2jb, is compatible with firmware version 23.0.1 and does not necessitate any physical alterations to the console. Despite certain limitations, the jailbreak may pave the way for unofficial software and game modifications.",
