"summary": "The Green Bay Packers hosted a tryout on Thursday for two rookie punters, James Rendell and Jack Stonehouse, according to Yahoo Sports. Neither of the players has a confirmed role with the team yet, with the Packers not having a backup punter on the practice squad and Daniel Whelan not added to the injury report. Rendell, an undrafted international player from Australia, had a strong college career at Notre Dame, averaging 44.6 yards per punt and placing 13 punts inside the 20-yard line in 2025. Stonehouse, also undrafted out of Syracuse, had a solid college career as well, averaging 45.9 yards per punt and holding the Syracuse career net punting average record. The Packers may consider Rendell as an international exemption player on the practice squad, potentially replacing kicker Lenny Kreig.",
