"account": "The Federal Government has recently approved the promotion of 27,624 officers across four key services: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, Nigerian Correctional Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service. Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, made the announcement while briefing journalists about the board's meeting in Abuja.\n\nThe NSCDC saw the highest number of promotions with 17,343 officers being promoted. The Nigerian Correctional Service followed with 4,601 promotions, while the Nigerian Immigration Service recognized 4,097 officers, and the Federal Fire Service promoted 1,583 members. These promotions reflect the government's commitment to addressing stagnation within these paramilitary services and improving overall personnel welfare and morale.\n\nDuring the meeting, the board also addressed various issues to enhance the well-being of the personnel in these services. This includes mandatory drug tests for shortlisted candidates, and the approval of a healthcare policy framework to ensure the fitness and wellness of the officers. The board also resolved 228 pending disciplinary cases, with the aim of maintaining a well-disciplined workforce.",
