"account": "On Thursday, the Senate ordered the Inspector-General of Police to investigate the killing of 113 people, including six police officers, in attacks on Benue State communities. The Senate also directed security chiefs to step up operations to prevent further violence. The resolution came after a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende, who reported recurring killings in Ukum, Katsina-Ala, and Logo Local Government Areas. Udende detailed 4 incidents, with a total of 113 deaths, including 24 in Sai, 63 in Bom and Aboajio, 15 in Ayilamo, and 11 in Tse Biliji and Tse Shishi Nyako villages. The Senate condemned the killings, observed a minute of silence, and called for effective early-warning systems and stronger intelligence gathering to prevent further attacks and protect vulnerable communities.",
