"account": "The Senate has directed the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, to conduct an urgent investigation into the killing of 113 individuals, comprising six mobile police officers, in a series of attacks on Benue State communities. Lawmakers also called on security chiefs to intensify operations to avert further violence and protect vulnerable areas. The resolution emerged from a motion of urgent public importance presented by Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende (APC, Benue North-East), highlighting losses in lives, property, and economic activities due to the attacks. Udende detailed incidents such as the killing of 24 persons in Sai, 63 in Bom and Aboajio villages, and 15, including six mobile police officers, in Ayilamo, Logo LGA. The Senate condemned the killings, observed a minute of silence for the victims, and urged the establishment of early-warning and rapid-response mechanisms.",
