"account": "The inaugural Women’s Club World Cup will be hosted in the United States from January 5 to 30, 2028, according to FIFA. The decision was made at the FIFA Congress in December 2025, though the January dates have raised concerns about the tournament's impact on domestic leagues. Seven clubs have already qualified, featuring Arsenal from the Women’s Super League, Barcelona from Europe, and Gotham FC from the National Women’s Soccer League among others. The remaining spots will be filled through a combination of automatic qualification and qualifying matches. Europe has six representatives, while Asia, Africa, North America, Central America and South America will each receive three spots, with Oceania getting one. European clubs are capped at two per national association unless multiple clubs win their continent's continental competitions. According to FIFA chief women's football officer Dame Sarai Bareman, the United States was the ideal choice due to its experience in hosting major tournaments, the country's burgeoning interest in women's football, and its advanced sporting infrastructure. The funding for the tournament's preparations stands at $2.5 million per national association, equivalent to the amount given to men's World Cup teams in 2026. The tournament was initially set to commence earlier but was delayed until 2028 to allow for better preparation.",
