"summary": "Jos Electricity Distribution Plc has condemned an attack on its staff in Makurdi, accusing Benue youths of assaulting and abducting 10 personnel, according to Punch Nigeria.\n\nNairametrics reports that the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) accused suspected thugs linked to the Benue State Government of abducting and torturing workers following the disconnection of electricity to the Government House in Makurdi. The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, when armed attackers invaded the company's district office. NUEE alleged the attackers claimed the disconnection embarrassed their principal and accused workers of acting for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.\n\nThe union further alleged that the attackers abducted the company's Benue State Operating Officer, Samson Abah, along with other employees, and took them to the River Benue bridge to be assaulted.",
