"summary": "Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish a preliminary voters’ register containing over 103 million people for public scrutiny. This demand was made ahead of the 2027 election.\n\nPaul Ibe, a media aide to Abubakar, criticized INEC chairman Joash Amupitan and slammed the commission for describing issues during the 2023 election as a \"technical glitch.\" According to Daily Post Nigeria, Ibe stated that the failures during the 2023 election questioned the transparency, integrity, and credibility of the presidential election. He argued that the commission must explain what went wrong and release the voters list to begin the process of correcting wrongs associated with the previous general elections.",
