"account": "The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have threatened nationwide industrial action due to unresolved demands with the Federal Government. The unions held a meeting at the Federal Ministry of Labour in Abuja on Thursday, addressing issues such as petrol price reductions, renegotiation of the national minimum wage, tax relief measures, and resolving disputes among healthcare workers and other public servants. However, the government delegation reportedly lacked the mandate to negotiate meaningfully on these issues, leaving the outstanding demands unresolved. The meeting was adjourned until October 27, allowing the government to prepare adequately. The NLC and TUC remain open to dialogue but would not accept further delays in addressing workers' concerns. If no progress is made on Tuesday, the unions will decide on further action, urging workers and the public to remain calm and hopeful for a resolution during the rescheduled talks.",
