"summary": "Final screen tests for the next James Bond are expected to take place this week, with Variety and Deadline reporting that the process could begin as early as Friday. The casting search for the Amazon MGM Studios project has been underway since the spring.\n\nJack Lowden and Callum Turner appear to be on the shortlist for the role. According to IGN, Deadline also noted that Josh O'Connor is in the mix, while a fourth actor remains unknown. IGN reports that The Hollywood Reporter ruled out Jack O'Connell as the fourth mystery candidate and that both Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter stated Jacob Elordi is not testing for the role despite previous rumors.\n\nThe upcoming film will be director Denis Villeneuve’s next project following Dune Part 3. The actors are expected to be tested on dialogue, camera presence, and stunts. While the film currently has no release date, IGN notes that if production begins next year, it could be released in late 2028.",
