"account": "A father in Eldorado Park has been convicted of raping and murdering his four-year-old daughter and assaulting his three-year-old son, according to the Johannesburg High Court. The trial, which began on October 20, 2023, saw the accused plead guilty to all charges. His 32-year-old partner faces charges of child abuse, failure to report sexual offences, and murder. The court has withheld their identities to protect their surviving child. On the day of the incident, the child's mother was at work, while the father admitted to physically assaulting and drowning his daughter, as well as raping her. Neighbors heard the child's cries and alerted the police, who found her unconscious with visible injuries. The children's mother pleaded not guilty, claiming she was unaware of her daughter's injuries.",
