"account": "A Samsung Galaxy Watch user discovered a severe burn on their wrist after wearing the device overnight, sparking concerns over the smartwatch's safety. The incident, shared on the r/Samsung Galaxy community, involved a three-year-old Galaxy Watch 5 Pro that was fully charged at bedtime. Upon waking up, the user found an unresponsive smartwatch and a significant burn-like mark on their wrist. Though skin irritation from wearables typically occurs, this case resulted in a blister. This burn-like mark is not an isolated event, as multiple Samsung smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, and Ultra models, have reportedly caused similar injuries. Samsung has a history of issues with exploding smartphones, which may have raised doubts about the safety of their smartwatches. However, experts suggest that these incidents could be attributed to lithium-ion battery malfunctions, as such problems are not specific to Samsung's products. While Samsung wearables users may not need to be overly concerned, the incident highlights the importance of being cautious when using electronics, especially when worn to bed. Samsung has been contacted for comment on the matter and will be updated with any response.",
