"account": "Dan Mackenzie, grandson of convicted Kenyan cult leader Paul Mackenzie, reported his grandmother to authorities over her alleged mistreatment of his younger siblings. Dan disclosed this in a BBC interview on Thursday, stating he reported her out of concern. His younger siblings had been denied food for nearly three days, prompting Dan to intervene. He explained that Paul Mackenzie instructed his followers to starve themselves and their children to death, believing it would lead to meeting Jesus. Dan's younger siblings were also subjected to fasting, which led to Dan taking action. He expressed shock at his grandmother's actions, questioning the purpose of forcing children to fast. Following the rescue of his siblings two weeks ago, Dan has been looking after them. He recounted an unsettling encounter with Paul Mackenzie, where the latter accused Dan of betraying him upon their handshake. Dan laughed off the accusation and walked away. The conviction of Paul Mackenzie and 28 others for the murder of 191 people, including 190 children, brings relief to families of the victims.",
