"account": "Dan Mackenzie, grandson of convicted Kenyan cult leader Paul Mackenzie, revealed in a BBC interview that he reported his grandmother to authorities for allegedly starving his younger siblings for nearly three days. Dan's concern stemmed from the horrific treatment of his siblings, which prompted his intervention. According to Paul Mackenzie, starving oneself was a means of meeting Jesus, starting with the children. Dan reported his own mother, whom he considers his grandmother, to authorities, expressing horror at her actions. He took responsibility for his younger siblings after their rescue, recounting a tense encounter with Paul Mackenzie, who accused him of betrayal when they shook hands. Dan hopes the conviction will provide some relief to the families and friends of those who died, including him. Paul Mackenzie and 28 others were convicted of murdering 190 children and one adult, who died due to starvation and violence.",
