"account": "Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker, could be set to win the 2025-26 Ballon d’Or, a prestigious award given to the world's best footballer. The last time a Bayern player won the Ballon d’Or was in 1981, with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Kane leads the competition in goals scored this season, with 73 goals for club and country during the 2025-26 campaign. Barcelona and Spain forward Lamine Yamal is the main rival, having won the World Cup and La Liga with Spain. Kane's coach, Vincent Kompany, praises his footballing intelligence and aging well. Bayern teammate Serge Gnabry highlights Kane's professionalism and leadership, while his England coach, Thomas Tuchel, emphasizes his work ethic. Despite some detractors pointing to Kane's goal tally in lower-tier English and German leagues, his Premier League record and overall performance make a strong case for the Ballon d’Or.",
"summary": "The most prestigious individual prize in football will be awarded on Monday, with Bayern Munich's English striker Harry Kane the front runner. Kane has developed even more in the Bundesliga despite an uneven league.",
