"account": "The Federal Government revealed on Tuesday that Nigeria's sole Ebola case after a diplomat contracted the Bundibugyo strain occurred in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Consequently, both the federal government and individual states have heightened surveillance, contact tracing, and emergency preparedness efforts to curb the outbreak of the lethal disease. Vice President Kashim Shettima advised state governments to devise strategies to address power issues, as he pushed for the establishment of operational electricity markets under the Electricity Act 2023. Furthermore, 15 state legislatures have approved a proposed constitutional amendment to facilitate the creation of state police, with Ekiti and Kebbi being the latest to endorse the bill, aligning with the constitutional mandate of at least 24 states, representing a two-thirds majority.",
