"account": "The Salone del Mobile di Milano has chosen Shanghai as the first stop for its Contract Tour, a roadshow presenting a new project aimed at the international community. China is a crucial market for Italian furniture and design, with a potential contract market value of 20-25 billion euros, accounting for around 72% of the Asia-Pacific region. The Chinese market is undergoing significant transformations, including large mixed-use developments, renovations, and new models of living, which are changing the way projects are defined and executed. The Salone Contract Tour aims to engage with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand these changes and explore opportunities for Italian companies. Italian exports of furniture to China reached 364 million euros in 2025 and 144 million euros in the first half of 2026.",
