"account": "Apple is preparing to release a limited number of its new iPhone Duo folding device for walk-in customers on Friday, following a surge in online orders that sold out within minutes and extended delivery times for some buyers to January. Introduced in September, the iPhone Duo is expected to lead the niche market currently dominated by premium offerings from Samsung and Huawei. The device features a foldable hinge, a complex component that Apple expects will require time to manufacture at high volumes. On Friday, Apple Stores will offer walk-in customers and online order pick-ups in several countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and much of the UK and Europe. However, other regions will only allow walk-in purchases for those who have pre-ordered the device online. Macau will be the only territory where walk-in customers can purchase the iPhone Duo, with limited stock available.",
"summary": "Walk-in purchases will not be available in Malaysia, China, Japan and several other markets, where customers must order the folding phone online.",
