"account": "Stormers rugby director John Dobson has dismissed reports linking versatile back Jonathan Roche with a potential move to Ireland, calling the claims \"preposterous\" and confirming that Roche has signed a contract extension to stay with the team in Cape Town. Speculation arose recently regarding Roche's interest in joining the Irish rugby squad, but Dobson clarified during a media briefing on Wednesday that the player's management had already refuted these reports. The Stormers midfielder missed Saturday's United Rugby Championship match against Scarlets at DHL Stadium due to medical protocols related to concussion, rather than any uncertainty about his contract. Dobson emphasized that Roche has no interest in representing Ireland and is fully committed to playing for the Stormers and South Africa. Despite also being eligible for Zimbabwe, Roche's ambitions remain focused on South African rugby, as he has already participated in national alignment camps as part of the Springbok setup's long-term development plan. With Roche recovering from his concussion, the Stormers anticipate announcing contract renewals for several key players in November, following their home games against Scarlets and Ulster.",
